This Privacy Policy explains how Crew (the "Platform"), operated by C4E, Mumbai, India ("Crew", "we", "us"), handles information in connection with your use of the Platform. By using the Platform you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
1Information we collect
- Account and profile data you provide: name, email, handle, city, crafts, rates, bio, links, images, work, credits, and similar.
- Waitlist data: name, email, craft, city, and any link you submit.
- Content and activity: posts, connections, messages, appreciations, and other actions on the Platform.
- Technical data: device, browser, IP address, approximate location, and usage data collected through cookies, local storage, and similar technologies.
You are responsible for the accuracy of what you provide and for ensuring you have the right to share any information about other people (for example, collaborators you credit).
2How we use information
We use information to:
- operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Platform;
- create and display profiles, work, credits, and search results;
- enable connections, messaging, and discovery;
- communicate with you, including about your waitlist status, account, and offers;
- personalise the experience and develop new features;
- prevent fraud and abuse and enforce our Terms;
- comply with law.
3Public information by design
Crew is a professional, public-facing platform. Information you mark or leave as public (for example, your public profile, public work, and credits) is visible to anyone, including search engines, and may be copied, cached, or indexed by third parties outside our control. You control visibility through the public, connections, and invited settings; choose what to make public accordingly.
4How we share information
- Service providers who help us run the Platform (for example, hosting, storage, analytics, email, payments), under appropriate obligations.
- Other users, per your visibility settings.
- Legal and safety: where we believe it is required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the Platform.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.
We do not sell your personal data for money.
5Cookies and local storage
We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, operate features, and understand usage. You can control these through your browser, but some features may not work without them.
6Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Platform, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. We may retain backups and records after account closure for a reasonable period.
7Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You use the Platform at your own risk and are responsible for safeguarding your account.
8Your choices and rights
You can review and update most profile information in your account. Subject to applicable law, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may request access to, correction of, or erasure of your personal data, and may withdraw consent. We will respond as required by law. Some information may be retained where we have a legal basis to do so.
9Children
The Platform is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a minor has provided data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
10International transfers
We may process and store information in countries other than yours, including where our service providers operate. By using the Platform you consent to such transfers, subject to applicable law.
11Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy at any time. Changes take effect when posted. Your continued use of the Platform means you accept the updated Policy.
